HELPING BUSINESSES ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS...
AND INDIVIDUALS ACHIEVE FINANCIAL FREEDOM.
This month's business spotlight is on Cliqq and Sip Internet Café and Lounge located at 261 W McMillan Street, right across the street from Hughes Center High School.
Cliqq & Sip is an Internet café and lounge created to re-establish a community gathering place to feature the many talents of local residents, including: vocal, poetic, culinary, and all other skills. It is a green café that serves Crimson Cup Coffee roasted right here in the state of Ohio and features free WI-Fi, affordable laptop rental and various other tools needed to help those in the community realize their passions and pursue them.
Toyia Montgomery, owner, opened Cliqq & Sip because she wanted to offer the Internet and other resources to the community while also creating an environment where everyone would feel welcome.
Mrs. Montgomery has an MBA from NKU with an emphasis in marketing, a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University. She also founded a non-profit called Relate Marketing in 2006, to provide educational trips and community events to children from single parent homes.
Mrs. Montgomery has been in corporate America for ten years; working as a marketer for several major corporations but always wanted to be an entrepreneur. She was just not sure what type of business would be a fit. After being a finalist for Star64's co-host role the Internet cafe idea came to mind and just made perfect sense given her background.
One major goal she has is to take a group of students abroad as one of their educational trips; the experience would be priceless and something they all would remember for a lifetime.
Cliqq and Sip is an enterprising cafe, so they put together events that bring opportunity to the community and help more people connect with those individuals that can take their career to the next level. One of their latest events was a meet and greet for Cheryl Grant a Hamilton County Judge up for re-election. Also on September 1st, they held an event to introduce the new police chief to the community and give them an opportunity to ask questions, etc.
“These are just a few things we do to help make the community a better place. We are a socially conscious cafe so we recycle the majority of materials we use to help sustain the world we live in.” – Toyia Montgomery
